Bone meal is a slow-release form of phosphorus (P), a mixture of finely and coarsely ground animal bones and animal waste products. It is used as an organic fertilizer for plants. As a slow-release fertilizer, bone meal is primarily used as a source of phosphorus and protein.

Benefits: Often used by gardeners to add Phosphorus to the soil which aids in producing strong roots, with increased fruit and flower development. Bone meal (phosphorus) is easy for plants to absorb. Using bone meal will help flowering plants, like roses or bulbs, grow bigger and more healthier. The calcium infusion from bone meal helps plants strengthens the stems and aids in the development of new shoots in perennial crops and shrubs. The calcium in bone meal can also help prevent common problems in vegetables such as blossom-end rot. Bone meal is also useful for balancing out other high nitrogen, organic soil amendments.

How to use: It can be mixed into soil at a rate of 3kg per 100 square feet of garden.
